Plan ahead during the UCI Bike Race
The 2022 UCI Road World Championships will be a city-wide celebration of cycling and culture. Over 8 days, 11 World Championship races will take place on public roads between 18 – 25 September, within the Wollongong Local Government Area.

Access to Innovation Campus UniActive Gym
There will be no access via Squires way all week. The M1, Memorial Drive and the Princes Highway (except for a section in Fairy Meadow) will operate as usual throughout the week. Towradgi Road and Balgownie Road will be permanently open and serve as connectors to the suburbs of Mt Ousley, Fairy Meadow, Towradgi and Balgownie.
Parking at Innovation Campus
Normal parking at iC is available for gym members and Chodat Fitness clients. However it should be noted that parking at iC might be limited as this area is allocated to the bike race staff and volunteers will be using P5 and will follow on the the other parking lots if filled.
Group Fitness Classes 6am, 9am, 6pm
Updated** Classes as of Tuesday 13th September will be held at Innovation Campus- as closures and set up has begun at South Beach, see our timetable for more info.
Normally held at South Beach Wollongong, these classes will be held at Innovation Campus for the duration of the race week. Meet at the entrance of the gym for your trainer and check in. Please- Book in prior to the session!
Sprint Training
Classes normally held at Beaton Park Leisure centre track on Monday 5pm, Tuesday 5pm, Wednesday 4pm we will be relocating to Innovation Campus for the week. Meet at the entrance of the gym for check in with the trainer. Please pre-book in to the class so we can see attendees prior to the start of the session!
Personal Training Sessions
Any sessions that are held normally at Innovation Campus are still going ahead. If you have sessions booked at your home gym or at another venue please speak directly with your trainer to plan ahead.
